Sky of Daisies began outdoors, but when Michigan experienced a period of hazardous air quality, I was unable to continue painting outside. Instead, I worked from photographs of the environment I had planned to paint, layering imagery and color to recreate the experience of being there. The many layers create a lively, fleeting composition that suggests movement and captures the feeling of a landscape that is constantly changing.
