Hi, I'm Aubrey, a painter based in Michigan.

My work begins outside. Whether I'm walking, journaling, or painting directly in the landscape, I'm constantly observing the way light, color, and movement shape the world around me. Those moments become the starting point for abstract paintings that explore the feeling of being immersed in nature rather than documenting it exactly as it appears.

Working primarily with acrylic, I move between painting outdoors and in the studio, allowing changing light, atmosphere, and intuition to guide each piece. My practice is rooted in slowing down, paying attention, and finding inspiration in places that are often overlooked.

I received my BFA from the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan and studied abroad at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London.

When I'm not painting, I'm usually outside, moving my body, or with a coffee in hand. I believe creativity, movement, and time in nature all support one another, and they continue to shape both my work and my everyday life.
