The Filtered Through series began with the same composition of layered shadows and plants, which I used as a framework for three distinct paintings. While the same marks and visual elements appear throughout the series, shifts in color, movement, and abstraction allow each work to develop its own atmosphere. The series explores how the same environment can be interpreted in completely different ways through painting.
